All UV (ultraviolet) reactive pigments are not lightfast in nature; they will lose their reactivity over time when exposed to sunlight over a long period of time, such is the nature of the ingredient(s) used. As are specific botanicals, unless the pigment is stabilized to maintain the pigmentation when exposed to UV rays (sunlight). All factors are taken into consideration when creating new colors.
